How to fix blue screen error?

The black screen (black screen of death) is black screen error displayed by some operating systems after encountering a critical system error, which can cause the system to shut down to prevent damage.

All version of windows (95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, VISTA, windows 7) display a Black Screen of Death when the operating system cannot boot. This usually happens due to missing some important files and when the user enables file compression on all files and the operating system compresses. In this case, user must reinstall Windows. If the missing file is critical to the boot process, then boot screen will inform the user about the missing file. If the operating system is compressed, then it will not be able to boot even in safe mode.

This might also be caused because of driver display problem, selecting wrong mode that monitors cannot display or due to damage in CRT monitor due to extra scan rate.  In some cases, the black screen of death was replaced with the Blue Screen of Death.

Symptoms

When you try to start Windows XP, the computer may hang with an empty screen and a black screen immediately appearing after the power-on self test (POST) is complete. This happens if:

1. One or more of the following elements, such as Master boot record, Partition tables, Boot sector, NTLDR file are corrupted and will not load and create problem during the boot sequence process.
2. The issue may occur if you have a CD, a DVD or a floppy disk in your CD, DVD, or floppy drive when you start the computer.

The symptoms are very distinctive and create trouble. Follow these steps to remove black screen from Windows 7

• Restart your PC and wait for the black screen to appear
• Check your Internet connection
• Press the CTRL, ALT and DEL keys simultaneously
• When prompted, Click Start Task Manager
• In Task Manager Click on the Application Tab, then click on New Task
• Now enter the command: ”C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” “http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?GRAB=BLACKSCREENFIX”
• Click OK and your browser should start and begin the download process
• When prompted for the download Click run, the black screen fix program will download and run to automatically fix the issue.
• Now restart your PC and the black screen problem will hopefully be gone.

How to fix bad sector in hard disk ?

Open My Computer

Step 2

Now select the drive/disk that you want to analyze and repair.

Step 3

After you have selected the disk, choose properties from file menu and select TOOL TAB

Step 4

After that check button under “Error Checking Status”.

Step 5

According to the version of Windows OS you have, choose either “Thorough” or “Scan for and Attempt Recovery of Bad Sectors.”

Step 6

Click on Start.
