Step 1
Open My Computer
Step 2
Now select the drive/disk that you want to analyze and repair.
Step 3
After you have selected the disk, choose properties from file menu and select TOOL TAB
Step 4
After that check button under “Error Checking Status”.
Step 5
According to the version of Windows OS you have, choose either “Thorough” or “Scan for and Attempt Recovery of Bad Sectors.”
Step 6
Click on Start.
